A VERY memorable event celebrated at the Casino Español de Cebu by the Amigos de España, was the dos “ocasiones”: birthday of presidenta emeritus Amparito Llamas-Lhuillier and the “Vaya con Dios” trip to Spain of Amigos founder Don Jaime Picornell.
Attendance was at an all-time high, with members and guests greeting each other with “besos” and “abrazos.” Highlight of course, was the blowing of the birthday candles by the “festejada” glamorous Amparito, smart in a white, long-sleeved blouse, blowing “muchas gracias” to all.
What was on the menu? Casino general manager May Ocaba outdid herself in the preparation and presentation of a “Comida Español especial” to the delight of everyone.
In closing, Don Jaime P., who will spend most of the time in his native Zaragoza, was wished “Hasta la Vista.”
