CONCIERGE and delivery service app Honestbee is tapping on homegrown establishments in Cebu for their expansion.

Cat Avelino, Honestbee brand and communications director, said they are now open to suggestions from local restaurants and cafes whose products might be included in their delivery services.

“In the Visayas, we’re only in Cebu. So our priority is to saturate the markets we’re in and hopefully to expand to new cities,” she said.

Currently, Honestbee operates in Mactan and the cities of Cebu, Mandaue and Talisay.

Avelino said they have partnered with 300 brands in Cebu in just six months.

“As we get more branches of our partners, then we get to expand the reach so we can serve that area,” she said.

The app caters to users who want food, grocery and medicine to be delivered at their doorstep.

Avelino said they are focusing on making their presence known in other key areas and to do that, they need to partner with local stores.

“Our goal is to get the quality so (we pick) those that our customers really want and need,” she said.

The latest shopping chain that they have partnered with is S&R Membership Shopping.

With the growing number of busy working mothers and professionals using their app, Avelino said they are hopeful they will be able to expand their operations in other areas that need their services.

“We’re very happy with the number of our users because we’ve been here in the country for over a year. Filipinos have really embraced Honestbee. We’re growing in popularity and some people are even begging for us to go to their cities, too,” she said.

She said their shoppers and riders are trained to pick the freshest fruits, vegetables, meat and even fish in wet markets in Cebu.

“We’re seeing among working moms that they are discovering the beauty of grocery delivery. Our shopper bees go to Taboan and Carbon. They are also moms, working students and freelancers, so they would know the quality of products that are good there,” she said. (JOB)
