FORMER Board Member Ricardo Yabut filed his certificate of candidacy (CoC) recently hoping to land a seat in the House of Representatives to represent Pampanga’s fourth congressional district.

Yabut filed his CoC at the Commission on Elections (Comelec) office as an independent.

Yabut is challenging incumbent Fourth District Representative Juan Pablo “Rimpy” Bondoc.

Yabut vowed to address the needs of various groups and sectors through legislation as well as lobby for more infrastructure and development projects for the district if elected.

Yabut vowed to continue social programs for Pampanga's fourth district. He will also file laws for out-of-school youths to give them more access to education.

Yabut was a former three-term board member and consistently earned the highest number of votes.

As provincial legislator, Yabut was one of the top performing board members in the province. His legislative agenda focused on environment, education, health, and infrastructure.

He is considered among the leading political figures in the fourth district and among the most visible.

Yabut is an active member and former president of the Rotary Club of Central Pampanga, Manila Lingkod Bayan Lions Club and other non-government groups in the province.
