Pangan: All in the name of public service

THE Sangguniang Panglungsod approves the budget proposals of the Executive and the other departments of the city government. It deliberates on them at a certain period and if it finds the same complete and in order, the Sanggunian affixes its stamp of approval. Same is true for request for supplemental budgets to augment the budget previously passed upon by the legislative body.

And so it happens that Mabalacat City Mayor Crisostomo C. Garbo, assisted by the City Administrator Rosan S. Paquia, presented the request for supplemental budget to Councilor Rogelio "Jeng" Yumul, chair of the SP on Local Finance with the plea of approval to defray the following essential items all aimed to promote sustained public service: clean and green program, solid waste management program, community health, poverty alleviation and medical assistance program, all aimed at helping Mabalaquenos' daily existence and welfare.

Knowing Councilor Jeng's work ethics, I am confident that he would put his seal of approval on the request for supplemental budget.

I have had several encounters with this chairman in my previous stint as PESO coordinator. He is pleasant to talk with and very accommodating so long as what you present is complete and satisfies his criteria. He is visible at the SP and maintains a regular work schedule thereat.

As regards the request for supplemental budget, I am confident that Councilor Jeng would favorably act on it with dispatch, in the interest of sincere public service.
