SOME,000 owners of small and big bikes will gather anew on Sunday, October 21, for the 2nd Unity Ride in Mindanao.

Starting line is at Crocodile Park in Davao City for riders in the southern area while KM 48, Madaum Crossing, Tagum City for north riders.

The riders, who are from 1,000 clubs in Mindanao, will convene in Pantukan, Compostela Valley.

“The event’s objective is to promote the safety motorcycle riding awareness and tourism in Mindanao,” Jake Gomez, sales and promotions manager of Norminring Motorbikes, said in an interview with SunStar Davao.

The unity ride, he said, will also be a source of funds for the biking community’s Corporate Social Responsibilities like Brigada Eskwela.

It also advocates camaraderie among small and big bikers for an inclusive riding community.

"We are also expecting guests, especially politicians who will join the unity ride," he added.

Those who will join the event will have a chance to win a brand new 400 cc big bike from Norminring Motorbikes.

Last year, the event gathered some 2,800 riders.
