Megaworld’s 1st township dev’t in the North to rise in Pampanga

PAMPANGA has always been considered an ideal place to live in. As one of the country’s most vibrant and exciting destinations, it has always projected itself as the fast-growing province in terms of business, leisure and recreation, tourism, education, and services.

With its rich and distinct history and culture, as well as edge in infrastructure and transportation, it is the perfect location for Megaworld’s newest master-planned township development, the 35.6-hectare Capital Town.

Now, the province’s bustling capital, the City of San Fernando is set to experience the signature “LIVE-WORK-PLAY” lifestyle of the upbeat communities of McKinley Hill, Uptown Bonifacio, Eastwood City, and Newport City in Metro Manila, as the leading property developer brings its unique expertise to Northern Luzon for the very first time.

Through the much-awaited development, themed residences, diverse commercial and retail outlets, and towering offices will soon rise in the city. With its multi-faceted residential, office, institutional, and commercial components, Capital Town Pampanga will become a platform for everyone seeking to experience the township lifestyle that Megaworld has been proudly known for.

During Thursday’s press conference, Eugene Lozano, Megaworld First vice president for Sales and Marketing (Megaworld Makati and Pampanga), shared that the new development reflects the same world-class vision and lifestyle the company offers in all of its distinctive properties.

“For 29 years and counting, Megaworld is living up to its expertise in transforming lands to sustainable township communities only in the most strategic locations. And now, through Capital Town Pampanga, the 22nd in our portfolio, Megaworld will rise in the North,” he said.

“Imagine this township experience with your own version of this lifestyle in Pampanga, waking up to picturesque views of the Rainwater Park & Central Square, walking to work with its own BPO cyberpark, and being a stone's throw away from restaurants at the Shophouse District,” he added.

He said the six-hectare Shophouse District is set to become the center of the city’s entrepreneurial ventures. He relayed that this portion of the township, which offers a place where people can come into their own and cultivate their business prowess, will be donned in neoclassical architecture with Art Deco details.

He said that after the company started selling the Shophouse District about a year ago, it is now 99 percent sold as of late.

“We’ve seen the interest and demand come from various parts of the country, specifically Quezon City, Manila, and the cities near Pampanga. With the government’s current aggressive infrastructure push headed to the North of Metro Manila, we see the market taking advantage of the province’s potential as early as now,” he said.

“The lots are set to be turned over next year. And we expect property prices to soar even higher once we near the completion of the Shophouse District. Land development started last year and construction is already in full swing,” he continued.

Recognizing the innate artistry and talents of the Kapampangans, he added that Capital Town will also house an Events Trade Hall and an Outdoor Amphitheater to showcase the Kapampangans’ fine brand of craftsmanship.

Flagship condominium project

During the media event, the executive also relayed that the first residential development in the township comes in the form of the recently launched 12-story Chelsea Parkplace.

Inspired by the iconic neighborhood of Chelsea, New York, the said condo development takes design cues akin to the charming brownstone apartment buildings of Manhattan.

Offering awe-inspiring views of the Capital Town Pampanga’s very own Casa de Emperador, Central Square, Museum & Mall, and the stunning Shophouse District, Chelsea Parkplace exudes a dynamic vibe that perfectly blends with history and modernity all over the township.

“We’re launching Chelsea Parkplace as the flagship condominium project to pioneer the integrated township experience in the north. Its ideal location in the middle of the township will give future residents the front row seat advantage of seeing the growth and development in the area,” Lozano said.

Other than being in a progressive community, a home at Chelsea Parkplace also offers unparalleled access to much-needed institutions, including offices and shopping centers, as well as delis, markets, coffee shops, theaters, and restaurants.

Units are available in Studio (up to 31 square meters), one-bedroom (up to 45.5 square meters), and two-bedroom (up to 88 square meters). All 193 units of the project will have balconies offering varied township views.

Amenities include a retail area on the upper ground floor, swimming pool, events hall, daycare, fitness center, and ’The Other Room’—a first-of-its-kind exclusive speakeasy bar that will serve as an ideal venue for residents to celebrate special occasions or host pre-gaming or after-party festivities to complement the events held at the nearby function hall.

Lozano noted that since its launching, the project has already received support from locals and Metro Manila buyers alike.

He announced that the residential development will be available by 2022 as he added, “We are excited to bring the LIVE-WORK-PLAY-SHOP township lifestyle expertise of Megaworld in the area.”
