VICE Governor Dennis Pineda lauded the efforts of the Provincial Cooperative and Entrepreneurial Development Office (PCEDO) and the Provincial and Regional Cooperative Development Council for successfully hosting the annual Central Luzon Kooplympics at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center in the City Of San Fernando last Friday.
With the theme, “Cultural Presentation of Festivities”, Second District Board Member Anthony Joseph Torres was honored that the celebration happened here in the province.
“We are very happy that this big event for cooperatives for the whole region was held here in Pampanga,” he added.
Torres, also the chairperson for Committee on Cooperatives, proudly cited the Kapampangan products which the Micro Small Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) showcased.
“This gives our MSMEs the opportunity to show their products,” he said.
Torres also commended Senator Cynthia Villar, Senate chairman on Cooperative Development, in prioritizing programs for the benefit of the cooperatives.
Moreover, Luningning Vergara, PCEDO head, thanked the support of the provincial government led by Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda in extending help for the need of cooperatives.
Also present in the celebration are Sangguniang Panlalawigan members and staff of PCEDO and Provincial and Regional Cooperative Development Council. (PR)
