AT THE signing of the sisterhood agreement between Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio and Liloan Mayor Christina Frasco, Duterte-Carpio denied claims of a Durano-led Bakud Party of having an alliance with Duterte-Carpio’s Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP).

“Wala ma’y alliance ang Bakud ug ang HNP (Bakud and HNP have no alliance),” Duterte-Carpio said.

Recalling her own experience in the 2016 presidential elections, Duterte-Carpio said that when she visited the fifth district of Cebu, only two groups welcomed her: one was former Liloan mayor now Cebu Ports Authority Commissioner Vincent Franco “Duke” Frasco with his wife, the incumbent Mayor Christina Frasco, and the other being Duterte-Carpio’s aunt, Eleanor Duterte of Danao City.

Duterte-Carpio thanked Mayor Frasco and Commissioner Frasco for welcoming her and for supporting the candidacy of President Rodrigo Duterte.

Liloan delivered the highest margin of votes for Duterte in the fifth district of Cebu.

Duterte-Carpio also openly endorsed the candidacy of Commissioner Frasco, who is running as congressman of Cebu's Fifth District against incumbent Representative Red Durano.

Duterte-Carpio said while she does not want to meddle in the politics of Cebu, she supports the candidates supporting the administration of President Duterte, namely, the candidates of PDP-Laban.
