5th Central Luzon supplier’s ball held for cancer patients

IT WAS a night of glitz and glamour for event organizers and suppliers in Central Luzon as they convened for the annual Central Luzon Event Suppliers’ Ball held in the City Of San Fernando recently.

The event, which is a brainchild of Flowers and Beyond owner Aris Santos, is on its fifth year but was the first time to be held in Pampanga after being a mainstay in the neighboring province of Tarlac.

Santos said that the red carpet event is still consistent with its goal of uniting and building camaraderie and networking among event organizers and suppliers all over Central Luzon.

“I started this event five years ago with one goal: to unite the event suppliers and organizers in the region to be able to better perform our duty of coming together—from the event coordinators to suppliers of cakes, flowers, catering, photo and video coverage, make-up artists and many more —to bring the most grand and memorable event for our clients,” Santos said.

At least 400 wedding event organizers and suppliers from all over Central Luzon packed one of the most sought after event venues in the region, The Country Gardens, to celebrate the promising industry of event movers and shakers.

For this year’s ball, Santos partnered with Robert Canlas of KQuentors Media and Michele Montemayor of Mich Event at Works for a grander and more colorful night of fellowship among peers in the industry.

And more than a social ball with free flowing food, drinks, and desserts and lots of raffle prizes, Montemayor disclosed that the event was for the benefit of children with cancer through the help of its partner, the Kythe Foundation.

Montemayor said a portion of tickets priced at P1,000 for early bird buyers and P1,500 for buyers purchasing at later dates will go directly to the foundation who are helping dozens of children who were diagnosed with different kinds of cancer.

Aside from this, attendees in the ball also voluntarily gave additional help by hanging their red envelopes on the golden tree during the event.

“Proceeds from the tickets sales will go directly in feeding the children from Kythe Foundation as well as help even a little from their medications. We are very much thankful to our fellow event coordinators and suppliers for being one with us in our goal to extend a helping hand to the needy children,” Montemayor said.

Kythe Foundation partner relations manager Karen Rivera, for her part, expressed her gratitude in behalf of the foundation to the group for choosing them as the beneficiary of the annual ball.

She stressed that their assistance will go a long way in extending the lives of the children diagnosed with chronic diseases, as well as provide hope to their families who are the primary support system of the children.
