THE Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (Pasuc)-Davao will conduct its 2nd Coaches Forum on November 9 and 10 at the Regency Inn, Villa Abrille St., Davao City.
University of Southeastern Philippines (Usep) sports director Dr. Jose Alther Rivera, in an interview, said the two activity aims to enhance the coaches' skills in training athletes.
"This is a live-out sports training activity. Wala man gud kaayo training ang mga coaches sa mga state universities pero open ni siya na training pati sa teachers, fitness instructors and from the private sectors (State university coaches, fitness instructors and private sector rarely have training),”Rivera said.
The forum will include lectures that will tackle the topic 'Coaching Beyond Sports' by Emmanuel Rene "Noli" Ayo, Ateneo de Davao University (Addu) athletics director and convener of the Mindanao Peace Games (MPG), sports related injuries, science-based training program for maximum performance and kinesio taping workshop.
This will also serve as a pre-activity before the staging of the annual State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (SCUAA) Meet slated February.
Registration fee is pegged at P2,800 that will help defray the expenses for food, venue and materials, among others.
