ONE never runs short of places to visit when traveling to Aloguinsan, a municipality located at the southern part of the province of Cebu. Of its 15 barangays, Barangay Bonbon has some news to share. There stands a cafe, the first in town.

It’s called Mandy’s Coffee Shop, owned by Cristina Manguilimotan, and opened July this year born out of leisurely pursuit. When asked how it felt knowing her cafe is the first in Aloguinsan: “It’s God’s wisdom,” she said, as she shared further that this was built as a way for her to have something fun to do. Mandy’s offers both sweet and savory treats to go with its assortment of beverages like coffee, juice, tea and more.

The place evokes a cozy feel, starting from from its garden setting to the interiors that give subtle reminders of a house, which is what Cristina wished to convey to its patrons. Apart from the decor is a mural of Aloguinsan showing the known spots of the town rich in history like Hermit’s Cove, Bojo River, Baluarte and many more.

With it being known as the first in the town, Mandy’s Coffee Shop should be part of the list of “must-visit” places in Aloguinsan.

Mandy’s Coffee Shop is open from 10 a.m to 9 p.m. Tuesdays to Sundays.
