THE Department of Trade and Industry in Central Luzon (DTI-3) has issued a list of suggested retail prices (SRP) for noche buena products.
The list includes products purchased during Christmas, particularly meal ingredients which include keso de bola, pasta, spaghetti sauce, creamer such as condensed and evaporated milk, and cheese, mayonnaise and other sandwich spreads.
Ham products of different brands at 500 grams ranges from P137 to P169, 700 grams to 750 grams are priced at P190 to P199, 800 grams at P199 to P411, and one kilogram at P255 to P821.00.
Prices of elbow and salad macaroni at 200 grams ranges from P15.25 to P34.45, 400 grams at P30 to 54.50, 500 grams at P55 to P73, and one kilogram at P57 to P92.75.
Spaghetti pasta in 175 grams to 200 grams are priced at P15.25 to P20.85, 400 grams to 450 grams at P30 to P53.50, 900 grams at P57 to P84.45, and one kilogram at P87.10 to P92.50.
Prices of spaghetti sauce in different sizes, meanwhile, range from P22 to P84.20, while tomato sauce also in varying sizes are priced at P12.25 to P81.05. Fruit cocktails in 432 grams to three kilograms are priced at P49 to P218.50.
For different brands of sandwich spreads in pouch and jar, price ranges from P20.25 to P205.50, while cheddar cheese have SRPs of P48.50 to P265.
DTI-3 Director Judith Angeles said the release of SRPs of noche buena products was made ahead of the actual Christmas season in an aim to guide consumers who are set shop for noche buena of the right prices of the items.
She added that DTI-3 will post the list of product SRPs in public places and supermarkets and will conduct monitoring to ensure that all businessmen will observe the SRP of products and not mislead the unaware buying public.
