One-stop-shop for business permits soon to open

FOR A faster processing of documents, a one-stop shop for business permit compliance will soon to be established in the city.

“We will be the first to implement that all over the country,” Mayor Jose Espinosa III said during his speech on October 22 during the Iloilo City Hall Flag ceremony.

Mayor Espinosa III aims to observe Republic Act No. 11032 also known as the act of promoting ease of doing business and efficient delivery government services delivery by creating an office mainly to cater business permits.

Espinosa said that they have already started the construction of the one-stop-shop at the third floor of the Iloilo City Hall which is expected to be completed on December.

“So, businessmen can get their renewal in just 30 minutes, maximum. If ever they cannot comply, you go direct to the mayor and I will sign your business permit immediately,” Espinosa said.

Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) head Norman Tabud said that they will process the permits for 20 minutes. (Carolyn Jane Abello)
