DAVAO City Prosecutor’s Office formally charged two female club entertainers for dancing naked, as well as a sound system operator during a raid conducted late last month.
Charged with Immoral Doctrines, Obscene Publications and Exhibitions and Indecent Shows were Lorelie Ancajas, 21, a resident of Quirino St., Bankerohan; Edelyn Navarro, 20, a resident of Small Takunan, Mintal; and Marco Antonio Balobo, 30, a resident of C. M. Recto Street, Davao City.
Prosecutor Carlos Castaños found probable cause to hold them for court trial.
The accused were arrested in the evening of January 29 inside El Careñosa Night Club on Palma Gil St. The alleged owner of the club, a certain Erlinda Santos-Sto. Domingo, eluded arrest.
Records showed that on January 27, reports reached the Criminal Investigation Detection Group that there were naked dancers performing inside the club.
Police conducted an operation, thus the suspects arrest at 12:15 a.m. while the two women were about to take off their bra and bikini to perform a shower dance.
A bail bond of P24,000 was recommended for each of the respondent's temporary liberty. (RMH)
