SEVERAL netizens have shared their speculations relative to the possible reasons behind the ongoing Twitter war between Kapamilya stars Darren Espanto and Juan Karlos Labajo.

The two, who both rose to stardom following their stint in the singing competition “The Voice” in 2014, are currently involved in a controversy that seems to have stirred the creative minds of some followers. These fans have shared different theories on the root of JK’s Twitter post allegedly alluding to Darren’s sexuality.

“@Espanto2001 gayness at its finest,” JK’s tweet last October 19 reportedly read.

However, this was denied by the singer from Cebu. According to him, his Twitter has been hacked.

On Monday, October 22, Darren shared a screenshot of JK’s alleged post which can no longer be found on his Twitter account. Together with the screenshot, the former wrote this caption: “Timing ‘no? Dinelete ng ‘hacker’ mo yung tweet na ‘to after kang kausapin ng management. Pag nahanap mo yung hacker mo puntahan niyo ako para malaman niyo kung sino yung totoong BAKLA. @KarlosLabajo.”

Amid the heated feud between the young singers, many have been wondering why JK, if it was really him, posted such. Thus, a number of theories came out.

“I watched these two boys during their days on ‘The Voice,” both of 'em were good. But it looks Darren hit the top and JK left behind,” a certain Lodi Daley wrote on the comment section of a PEP article regarding this developing story. “To make the story short this is JEALOUSY over the other. Darren is always on the road for a lot of shows, but JK, hardly we hear about him. Does he have an attitude problem? Think about it JK?”

This was somehow supported by Benjamine Mendoza who commented “bitterness overload.”

“I used to like JK, d ba cute niya nong The Voice Kids, he was adorable. But during his PBB days, lumabas ang tutuong ugali niya, nakikpag tagisan sa mga mas matanda sa kanya at ang sama ng ugali. No wonder d siya sumikat. Obvious na insecure siya kay Darren,” Phil S. Magbanu said.

For follower Anne Daganio Young, “Yang sagutan sa online, di gawain ng tunay na lalaki yan.”

Whatever the truth is behind this scenario now, it must be challenging for their record label, MCA Music, to patch things up. This is something that we can’t wait to unfold in the coming days.
