Electric MassKara set

FOUR concert and party stations, electric float parade, tron dancers, Mardi Gras-themed zumba and fireworks.

These are among the attractions for this year’s Electric MassKara, Bacolod’s biggest street party that is set from October 26 to 28 at the Lacson Tourism Strip.

“We’re not disclosing all the details but we promise you another MassKara experience,” festival director Eli Tajanlangit said.

“We got an entirely new creative team to help us run this,” he added.

“Among the new features are Manila and Boracay-based Tron dancers who will be along Lacson Street every night to entertain guests and will perform at certain spots,” Electric MassKara creative director Rene Jun Ogapong said.

The Electric MassKara, which started in 2007, is one of the highlights of the 39th MassKara Festival.

Fireworks competition

Meanwhile, the third edition of the "Sadya ang MassKara with Mayor Bing: National Fireworks Competition" rolls out Thursday, October 25, at 9 p.m. at the Government Center grounds.

It will happen every night from October 25 to 28.

On October 26, it will be at the Bacolod Public Plaza, at the Lacson Tourism Strip on October 27, where the Electric MassKara will be held from October 26 to 28, and at Government Center grounds for the Champions’ Showdown on October 28. (PR)
