A DRUG pusher and five gamblers were arrested by the different units of the Police Regional Office Cordillera (PRO-COR) in its continuous campaign against illegal gambling and illegal drugs.
Police arrested five gamblers in the act of playing cards at Cardan Resto Bar, Kayang Street, Upper Market, Baguio City Wednesday afternoon, October 23.
Arrested were Jimboy Valdez De Guzman, 23; John Michael Frigillana Villanueva, 33; Rico Daway Wayang, 23; Ronel Bentoga Sayas, 22; and Bernie Bartolome Segundo, 43. While Edwin Pregillana Hilario, 27, who was among the group managed to escape.
The Criminal Intelligence Unit and personnel of Baguio City Police Station 7 were able to confiscate one table, five mono block chairs, one set of playing cards and P2,560 cash.
In another operation, a drug pusher identified as Fernando Quiñones Carbonel aka “Nanding”, 65, driver and presently residing at Naguilian Road, Baguio City was arrested in a drug bust at the Jeepney terminal of Guisad, Wednesday afternoon, October 23.
Personnel of the BCPO Station 2, and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-CAR confiscated six pieces of heat sealed transparent plastic sachets containing substance suspected of methamphetamine or shabu and an undetermined amount of buy bust money.
All arrested individuals are now under the custody of the concerned operating units while appropriate charges were filed against them in court.
