FOR the first time since joining the Philippine Football League (PFL) two years ago, the Davao Aguilas FC will vie for the coveted 2018 title against powerhouse Kaya Futbol Club (FC) at the Rizal Memorial Stadium today in Manila.

Davao Aguilas FC head coach Melchor Anzures, in a Facebook interview, said, "Preparation is 100 percent."

But Anzures said the team will have to watch out for Kaya's two key players and that the Davao Aguilas FC, led by brothers Phil and James Younghusband, must work as a team.

"Pag nag-work hard ang team possible na maka-iskor gyud mi sa Kaya FC (If the team really works hard, we could score against Kaya FC)," the Dabawenyo coach said.

Both teams each had the longest unbeaten run in the League with 11 games but they have not played each other yet since their unbeaten runs starting August this year.

In their past meetings, Kaya FC defeated Davao Aguilas FC thrice on June 23 (4-3), June 2 (2-1) and May 20 (4-2) while the latter pulled off a 3-1 win over the former. Both squads, however, settled for a draw on March 4, 1-1.
