Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda on Friday, October 26, thanked Congressman Juan Pablo “Rimpy” Bondoc and all the officials in the fourth district of Pampanga for vowing their “all-out support” to his gubernatorial bid in the 2019 midterm elections.
This came in the heels of a meeting between leaders and candidates of the Kapanalig and Kambilan Ning Memalen Pampanga (Kambilan) and PDP-Laban at the Kingsborough International Convention Center (KICC) here.
“I would like to clarify that there was no bargaining between me and the congressman [Bondoc],” Pineda mentioned.
He and Bondoc had forged an alliance recently, considered as a historical event in Pampanga.
“I salute your congressman. I and Nanay [Governor Lilia ‘Nanay’ Pineda] thank him for developments in the fourth district,” he said.
The gubernatorial candidate also said that this decision of running for governor is “a blessing from God.”
“Blessing from God, blessing for the fourth district, because the Pineda-Bondoc alliance is for the further development of your district,” he added.
Pineda also vowed that whatever the fourth district will be needing, the provincial government is always open.
“It is your right to receive assistance from capitol because you are Kapampangans,” Pineda cited.
Meanwhile, Bondoc guaranteed that he will support Pineda until the end. This was also assured by incumbent officials, former mayors and vice- mayors who attended the event.
“Genuine love. That’s what I see in Governor Delta. When I opened my heart to him, I saw how good his intentions are for Pampanga,” Bondoc said. (PR)
