Dureza gidayeg ang 'Sports for Peace'

SI PRESIDENTIAL Adviser on the Peace Process, Secretary Jesus Dureza midayeg sa Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) alang sa pagpaningkamot niini sa pagpromotar og pagkahiusa pinaagi sa "Sports for Peace" atol sa 2018 Mindanao Media Safety and Security Summit didto sa Eden Natures Park & Resort, Toril, Davao City.

Sa atubangan sa dul-an 100 ka mga media gikan Mindanao, si PSC Chairman William Ramirez mipaambit sa inisyatibo sa ahensya sa pagpakusog sa isports isip usa ka importanteng butang alang sa kalinaw ilabina sa kabatan-onan sa nasud.

"I commend the PSC and Chairman Butch Ramirez for its revolutionary movement in ‘Sports for Peace’ program, which helps us in the same purpose of fostering peace to all Filipinos," ni Dureza sa iyang pamulong.

Sa bahin ni Ramirez, "we in the PSC continuously believe that the children are our future. This initiative goes back to 2009, when we first started it in Midsayap, Cotabato. And now, we have reached more than almost 20,000 children."

Dugang sa PSC Chairman, "if we can teach our children about the importance of peace through sports, the Philippines will be a better country."

Samtang si Mindanao Independent Press Club president ug beteranong journalist Editha Caduaya nagpasalamat kang Ramirez.

"A new and effective way of building peace and camaraderie among Filipinos regardless of age, gender and religious belief," ni Caduaya.
