P290K in 'shabu' seized

AN ESTIMATED P290, 000 worth of illegal drugs was seized in separate anti-illegal drug operations in Negros Occidental from October 26 to 27.

In Talisay City, sisters Jessica Treyes, 30, and Rachel Treyes, 39, were arrested in a buy-bust at Barangay Zone 4 on October 26 which led to the recovery of five sachets of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) weighing 20 grams worth P240,000, and the P1,000 marked money.

In Bacolod City, seven persons were arrested in a drug bust at Barangay Singcang-Airport on October 26 after they yielded 12 sachets of suspected shabu amounting to P45, 000, P400 in cash, and drug paraphernalia.

Police identified the suspects as Bacolod residents Alfredo Inocencio Amando, 48, newly-identified drug personality; high-value target Tomas Tombrio, 41, drug surrenderer; Jhon Brendon Gentebano, 23; Mel John Gutierez, 23; and Danny Mondejar, 37; and Bobby Carl Becaro, 21, of Cadiz City; and Kaye Cana, 23, of Cauayan town.

All suspects are detained at Police Station 8.

In Toboso town, Lanie Bahita, 29, of Barangay Poblacion and Ryan Ondoy, 28, of Calatrava town were arrested in a drug raid at the said village on October 27 after police seized from them seven sachets of suspected shabu worth P5,000, the P500 marked money, and a motorcycle.

In E.B. Magalona town, Eric Bautista, 23, of Barangay Mambulac, Silay City was arrested on Saturday at Barangay Damgo for alleged trespassing.

Police confiscated from him a sachet of suspected shabu.
