PRESIDENTIAL daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio invited the MassKara dancers of Bacolod City to join the Kadayawan Festival in August 2019.

Duterte-Carpio, who joined the highlights of 39th MassKara Festival Saturday afternoon at the public plaza, said she’s thankful to the city officials for inviting her to the festivity.

Duterte-Carpio along with Senators Cynthia Villar and Joseph Victor Ejercito watched the performances of the MassKara street and arena schools category along with Silay City Mayor Mark Golez and other local officials.

“We are inviting you if you are interested to join us in next year celebration. It’s an open invitation to the MassKara street dancing participants to join the Kadayawan Festival in Davao City in August 2019,” she said.

The Davao City mayor also gave P10, 000 each for the 11 entries that joined the MassKara Street and arena competition in the schools category.

“We are happy to be here and this will be an additional price to the MassKara street dancing participants,” she said.

Meanwhile, Duterte-Carpio also called on the Bacoleños for unity in choosing the local leaders.

“We need to unite in choosing our leaders from purok leaders, barangay captains, mayor, and councilors because the strength of the leaders is on their constituents,” she said.

She added: “if we move in one direction all of us will see a positive change, productivity, and development in the city.”

Villar and Ejercito were also thankful to the city officials and the people of Bacolod.
