TWO days before the commemoration of All Saints’ Day, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) reminded consumers and sellers of the suggested retail prices (SRPs) of candles.
DTI-Central Luzon information officer Warren Serrano said that based on the SRP list, standard candles such as Liwanag Esperma white candles in different sizes are priced from P38 to P145.75 each, while Manila Wax Esperma white candles range from P46 to P71 each, and the Manila Wax Votive white and yellow candles are at P51 to P71 each.
The 5-star Esperma white candles range from P27.50 to P115, while Export white candles are priced at P32 to P99.75, and the Export Vigil white and yellow candles are at P44.75 to P69.75.
Serrano also reminded sellers not to take advantage of consumers and avoid overpricing at the risk of being investigated.
