THIRTY-ONE men will vie for the title of the first “Ginoong Cebu.” The candidates, representing different cities and municipalities of Cebu, were presented through an event held at JCentre Mall last Oct. 29. Boosting tourism in their municipalities and cities was the aim of most candidates. Novices or veterans in the pageantry scene, everyone was equally spirited to win.
Ginoong Cebu is made possible by the Lariosa Tulong Foundation. The foundation aims to help the less fortunate, most especially students. Lariosa Tulong Foundation is currently helping over 200 scholars. The proceeds of the pageant will go directly to the beneficiaries.
A pre-pageant will transpire on Nov. 15 where the candidates will showcase their elegant formal wear and swim wear. The coronation night will be on Dec. 16 at the New Cebu Coliseum. Various special awards will also be given to outstanding candidates in different categories.
