NOW officially in Davao, the latest models of the Fujifilm X-Series of mirrorless digital cameras aim to capture the hearts of Dabawenyos and Mindanaoans with exceptional quality photography and videos.

In a two-day event which I hosted and helped organize for Fujifilm Philippines in Seda Hotel Abreeza and in GAP Farming Resort, the media and photographers were treated to a demo launch of mighty newcomers Fujifilm X-T100 and X-T3.

The X-T100 is a favorite companion in my travel and video blogging adventures. Compact yet chock-full of cool features, this retro and sleek looking unit is a powerhouse that boasts of a 24.2 megapixel APS-C size sensor, horizontal tilting rear LCD screen, a high magnification electronic viewfinder and an extended battery life of up to 430 frames or 100 minutes of video shooting.

For serious photographers aiming for that artistic and professional journey, the Fujifilm X-T3 packs a wallop with the latest innovations in camera technology and a significant jump in upgrade from its predecessors. Armed with higher image quality, it has a dramatically improved performance in terms of autofocus, speed, video recording and other capabilities, not to mention a tough weather resistant magnesium body that is ready for the harshest of conditions. It is in fact, anybody’s dream camera.

Giving testaments to its amazing capabilities are action and sports photographer Mikko David and fashion and portrait photographer Niko Villegas, while senior product specialist Glenn Gatan gave an interesting product talk on these next level photography cameras.

Participants were offered demo units of both units with an array of lenses to shoot the models indoors and on location. A fun photography contest was announced, and the winners of a Fuji Instax Mini 9 were the following: Joric Tan (Vlogger/Davao Digital Influencer) in Seda Hotel for the media huddle, and Miguel Lisbona on the second day with photographers at Gap Farm Resort, awarded by senior marketing leader Len Buñing Catanghal.

The Fujifilm X-T100 is available in three colors: Dark Silver (my camera’s color!), Black, and Champagne Gold and retails at P39,990. The Fujifilm X-T3 is available in black or silver at P86,990 for the body and P109,990 for the kit. These amazing new cameras are sold at Fujifilm authorized dealers nationwide.
