INTERNATIONAL Master Barlo Nadera won the recent Councilor Thaddeus Antonio Santos Jr. Invitational Rapid Chess Championship last Oct. 27 in Marikina City. The Mandaue City-born Nadera collected 4.5 points on four wins and draw to win the five-round tournament. He beat Isagani de Ramos in the first round, Ricky Merano in the second round, Fide Master Adrian Ros Pacis in the third round and International Master Chito Garma in the fourth round. He split the point with International Master Chris Ramayrat in the fifth and final round. (PR)
