ACTOR and businessman JC de Vera is yet again to do a new project for GMA Telebabad.
The 23-year-old Kapuso talent, who started his showbiz career in the 2003 teenage program “Click,” will lead the upcoming action fantaserye “Panday Kids.”
In a television interview, JC said he went to the gym again in preparation for his role in the much awaited project.
“Nagtraining kami ng sword fighting ang ibang martial arts, and aside from nag diet eh nag work out kasi yung costume namin eh labas yung katawan.”
JC, or John Carlo in real life, is excited with his new role in “Panday Kids.” He was paired recently with Heart Evangelista in the afternoon soap “Ngayon at Kailanman.”
Aside from his acting gigs, JC is also working on his newest bar in Manila area.
“Maganda yung year na to for me for business, nagkaroon ulit ako ng isang bar, nag-open na ulit ako,” he said.
The Kapuso leading man said that he will just focus more on his career and business right now and will just ignore, for the meantime, love matters.
“Yung focus ko eh nasa mga bagay na ito eh, sa business side na eh. So anyone na makakasira sa trabaho ko o makakasira ng mood ko eh di ko sila kakailanganin talaga.”
The actor is being linked to his "Lalola" co-star Rhian Ramos who recently said she is not yet ready to enter a new relationship and plans to get married at the age of 35.
But JC said he wasn't able to talk to Rhian in a long time. “Matagal na kaming hindi nagkikita, matagal na din kaming di nagkakausap.” (Glaiza Jarloc/Sunnex)
