2 drug syndicate men, 2 others arrested

FOUR people, including two alleged members of a drug syndicate, were arrested in an anti-drug operation in the province of Zamboanga del Norte, the police reported on Monday, November 5.

Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula Director Emmanuel Luis Licup, identified the arrested suspects as Julsar Ismael, 23; Seeta Ismael, 42; Sagddi Jaron, 30; and, Julosan Ismael, 24.

Licup said that the Ismaels (Julsar and Seeta) were alleged members of the notorious Sahibad Drug Group operating in the province of Zamboanga del Norte.

Licup said they were arrested in a drug bust around 2:05 p.m., Sunday, November 4, in the village of Bucana, Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte.

He said the other Ismael (Julosan) and Jaron were caught having a pot session at the residence of Julsar during the drug bust.

He said the arresting team confiscated from the Julsar and Seeta were: P500 marked money; three medium-sized and five small-sized heat-sealed plastic sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as “shabu,” P60 cash in different denominations, and illegal drug paraphernalia.

He said the suspects were detained while appropriate charges are set to be filed against them. (SunStar Philippines)
