THE Surigao del Sur Police Provincial Office (PPO) was adjudged as the over-all best performing unit in the region's law enforcement campaign in the one-month challenge set by the Police Regional Office (PRO) Caraga.
Meanwhile, Agusan del Norte Police Provincial Office emerged as the best performing unit in the implementation of Project Double Barrel while Surigao del Sur PPO topped the campaign against wanted persons and enforcement of special laws.
The Surigao del Sur provincial police unit also garnered the highest number of arrested drug personalities in the watchlist of the Directorate for Intelligence.
Also, Butuan City Police Office was named as the best performing unit in the campaign against illegal gambling and illegal fishing and as Top 3 in the implementation of special laws.
Agusan del Sur was also hailed as the best performing unit in the campaign against illegal gambling and as top 2 in the implementation of special laws. The Surigao del Sur PPO and Regional Mobile Force Battalion-Caraga region were both recognized as best performing units in the campaign against illegal logging.
“I believe the police of Caraga is doing its best in the performance of duty and I want to encourage them more by giving due recognition to the units that excel the most,” PRO-Caraga Director Chief Superintendent Gilberto DC Cruz said.
Cruz spearheaded the giving of awards last week to the police units with exemplary performance from September 22, 2018 to October 21, 2018.
