Flower vendors can now transfer to new location

BACOLOD City Administrator John Orola said Monday, November 5, the flower vendors at the public plaza can start transferring to their new location, behind the Bacolod Arts and Youth Sports (Bays) Center.

Orola said the City Engineer’s Office already finished the construction of some stalls of the flower vendors in the area.

“We agreed that after the All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days, the flower vendors will transfer to the new site, it is now ready to be occupied,” he said.

The flower vendors are occupying 18 stalls at the plaza, and they are giving donations to the Bacolod Diocese, which owns the portion of public plaza occupied by the vendors, at P50 per day.

Orola said they are now facilitating the power supply at the designated site.

“We will set the inauguration of the new site as well as the information center near the area,” he said.

Once they transferred to the designated site, Orola added that the city will also start the rehabilitation at the public plaza.
