MISAMIS Oriental Governor Yevgeny Emano has assured residents in El Salvador City that Misamis Oriental Cares System (MisOr Cares) 24/7 at the provincial capitol will accommodate concerns after village officials closed its satellite office in Barangay Molugan after the village polls last May.
Emano was worried after learning that until now there was no healthcare program established in replacement of the MisOr Cares as claimed by the Capitol.
The capitol said the operation of MisOr Cares' satellite office was stopped by the newly elected village chief because it will supposedly be replaced with a better program.
"Hangtod karon wala pay napuli nga programa sa panglawas ug ang nag-sakripisyo ang katawhan nga naghulat sa napakyas nga saad," the capitol press briefer said.
"Pero pwede gihapon moduol ang mga residente sa MisOr Cares 24/7 sa kapitolyo kung magkinahanglan sila sa tabang," it added.
The governor has reiterated that MisOr Cares is a program launched to give residents access to free hospitalization, medicines, medical laboratories, blood, burial assistance, among others.
There has been no report that provincial-run hospitals in the province have rejected patients holding MisOr Cares access card.
This was clarified by MisOr Cares municipal cluster coordinator Crisna Joy Acain to erase confusions should the eight hospitals in the province ask for Philhealth card aside from the MisOr Cares card.
Acain explained that MisOr Cares card can only be used for check-ups and admissions in provincial hospitals in the towns of Magsaysay, Gingoog, Talisayan, Claveria, Balingasag, Alubijid, Manticao, and Initao.
Emano has warned that he would place under investigation any personality who refuses to accommodate and entertain MisOr Cares card holders even as he previously ordered to prioritize the poor and underprivileged residents of the province.
