CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Some 32 youth leaders of the City of San Fernando on Monday were presented and buckled down to work at the start of Youth Week here.
The young leaders were selected from several integrated and secondary public and private schools located in City of San Fernando.
Youth Week is a joint project of the City Government and Rotary Club of San Fernando and is held annually to give young officials to participate in executive and legislative work of the city government.
It is also part of the advocacy in providing inputs and experiences to the youth, in relation to good governance, parliamentary procedures, and vocational career guidance, to prepare them in becoming future leaders.
As part of their duties and responsibilities, the young officials will conduct simultaneous educational tours in different offices in the city government and selected business establishments in the city.
This year’s roster of youth officials is led by City Mayor Shanyne Surla of St. Scholastica’s Academy and Vice Mayor Jhobert Move of Northville High School.
