NEWLY-CROWNED monthly champion Absalon "Romy" Serrano, Jr. struck again as he captured the Datba Weekly Tournament title Tuesday evening at the SM Lanang Premier Bowling Center.
Serrano, with a handicap of 18, toppled a total of 610 pinfalls after three games of the competition organized by the Davao Tenpin Bowlers Association (Datba).
Art Galendez, for his part, grabbed the runner-up honors after hitting 591 pinfalls with a handicap of 21.
Serrano received cash prizes of P500 and P300, respectively, in the eight-player field.
Trailing behind were Celso Garcia (583), Billy Magdale (552), Chris Ramajo (537), Jesrael Rule (536), Danny Usman (534) and John Tamondong (521).
A similar tournament will be held this weekend at the same venue.
Weekly champions will vie for honors in the monthly finals that stakes bigger cash prizes with trophies.
Meanwhile, Datba president Rameses Tancontian said a handful of Datba players will compete in the 10th Cetba-NBT Open Tenpin Bowling Championship 2018 in Cebu this week.
Most of the Datba players are leaving on Thursday, November 8.
