DMSF listed among top 10 performing schools in physician exam

THE Davao Medical School Foundation (DMSF) ranked sixth among the top 10 performing schools in September 2018 Physician Licensure Examination.

Among the 162 DMSF graduates who took the exam, 157 passed the examination, giving the school a 96.91-percent passing rate. Of those who passed, 154 were first time takers while three were retakers.

Based on the list released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), the Cebu Institute of Medicine is the top performing medical school in the country with a passing rate of 99.33 percent.

Taking the second spot is the University of Santo Tomas with a passing rate of 98.71 percent while the University of Philippines-Manila rounded up the top three with 98.59 percent.

Completing the top five performing schools are the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (98.37 percent) and the St. Luke's Medical Center College of Medicine-William H. Quasha Memorial (97.87 percent).

Also listed in the top 10 are West Visayas State University-La Paz (96.81 percent), Ateneo De Manila University School of Medicine and Public Health-Pasig (95.80), Siliman University (94.74 percent), and Far Eastern University-Nicanor (94.01 percent).

A total of 3,717 passed the examination out of the 4,542 who took it. Overall passing rate is 81.84 percent.
