Abude says CTTMO's name stained

THE chief of Davao City Transport and Traffic Management Office (CTMMO) said that while he was saddened by the arrest of one of his traffic enforcers, he also thanked the policemen for it would clear their ranks of scalawags.

“Mixed ang akong stand: Una nasubo ko tungod kay namantsahan ang pangalan/opisina sa CTTMO tungod sa binuhatan nga illagal sa usa ka personahe sa CTTMO (I have mixed emotions. First, I am saddened for it marred our office because of the illegal activities of our personnel),” CTTMO chief Dionisio C Abude said.

On Monday evening, November 5, a traffic enforcer of CTTMO was nabbed by authorities during an entrapment operation at Purok 5, Barangay Tugbok proper, Tugbok District, Davao City.

The government employee was identified as Eugene Gil Espinosa Labor alias Ugen, 37, and a resident of Purok 17, Sitio Mahayahay, Barangay Tugbok proper, Tugbok District, Davao City.

The operation was conducted after authorities received information from a source informing their office regarding his alleged drug pushing in the areas of Barangay Tugbok proper, Mintal, and Sto. Niño, all in Tugbok District, Davao City.

Abude said Labor has been an employee of CTTMO for 13 years already. He is considered as a high value target since is a government employee.

“Pasalamat ko sa PNP nga naningkamut sila nga madakpan ning mga naga baligya ug lillegal nga druga (I thank the Philippine National Police for the arrest of this personnel who is into selling illegal drugs),” he said.

He also looks forward to other personnel involved in illegal activities aside from drugs will likewise be arrested.

“Malipay ko kung ang tanan nga mga dunay illegal nga binuhatan sa mga personahe sa CTTMO nga madakpan para malimpyohan ang among opisina dili lang sa druga apil na ang kotong kung naa pa man (I'd be happy to see other CTTMO personnel involved in other illegal activities arrested as well),” he added.

Abude said he’s been warning his personnel not to engage in illegal drugs but still, there are those who refuse to heed his call and continue with their illegal eeds.

“Wala man ko nag kulang ug pahimangno naa paman gani ko directive nga dili mohimo bisan unsa nga illegal activities (I constantly remind them not to be engaged in illegal activities)," Abude said.
