Albay graduate tops Midwife Licensure Exam

THE Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced Wednesday, November 7, that 1,175 out of 2,478 examinees passed the Midwife Licensure Examination given in November this year.

Topping the list of passers is a graduate of Immaculate Conception College in Albay province who got a passing rate of 90.75 percent.

2. Darlene Villanueva Mendoza of Brokenshire College Soccsksargen Inc. -- 90.30 percent

3. Gellian Labagis Alaurin of Calayan Educational Foundation Inc. -- 89.85 percent

4. Jean Melody Velasco Gempis of University of the Philippines School of Health and Sciences-Leyte -- 89.80 percent

5. Ana Blesilda Cachola Atendido of University of Northern Philippines-Vigan -- 89.20 percent

6. Shanice del Rosario Susana of Cavite State University -- 89 percent

7. Mary Jane Miniano Buslay of University of Baguio -- 88.70 percent

8. Norhaya Karim Latip of Notre Dame Hospital and School of Midwifery -- 88.55 percent

9. Amira Baldin Dup-et of Batangas State University-Arasof-Nasugbu -- 88.35 percent

Karmdeep Tulalian Singh Dhaliwal of Speed Computer College Magsaysay, Sorsogon City -- 88.35 percent

10. Jeanylyn Padernal Ad-ad of Southern Baptist College -- 88.30 percent

The PRC said there is no date and venue yet for the oathtaking ceremony of the successful examinees, but assured that details will be announced later.

It advised passers to register online for the issuance of professional ID and Certificate of Registration from November 14 to 15.

"Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration. Those who will register are required to bring the following: downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, notice of admission (for identification only), two pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag), two sets of documentary stamps and one piece short brown envelope," PRC said in its webbsite.

Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals, it added.

The Midwife Licensure Examination was given by the Board of Midwifery in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga this November. (LMY/SunStar Philippines)
