AS THE world shifted from manual to digital, even shopping became more convenient and easy. Just a browse and a click, anybody could do shopping even while in bed.
From clothes to accessories to cosmetics and even beauty products are now available online.
And with the Christmas season just around the corner, a concept store in Davao City -- Davao Sellers Hub -- is here to help working moms and dads lessen their loads especially during Christmas season when buying decorations and gifts is just considered a Gargantuan task with thousands of shoppers lining up at the counter.
Owned by Klarisse Gene Helborion, a pre-school teacher and online seller since 2011, Davao Sellers Hub opened its doors for the Dabawenyos last June 28, 2018 with an aim to help busy people choose and buy all possible gifts one could give all in just one click.
“I always believed that the internet is luxurious and expensive. So why not make use of the internet to earn?” Helborion said, adding that her ambition to grow her online selling business made her come up with a concept store to put all her items in one place along with that of the other online sellers she knew.
The place has designated cubicles for displays, rented by different online sellers for P500 a month. Some display clothes, bags, shoes, and skin care and beauty products, among others. Each item displayed is available online and the concept store may be used as a pick-up place by those who ordered online. But there are still a lot of walk-ins in the concept store since it has various items displayed.
At present, Helborion said that everything is going well. She is fulfilling her passion to teach and at the same time to earn for the family.
However, she also went through a downfall moment but what's more important is that she never gave up.
“To become an online seller, you need to learn your items. Study what you sell. You need to be patient with your clients and work really hard for it will be worth it in the end,” Helborion said.
Davao Sellers Hub is located at the City Triangle, CM Recto Street, and opens from Mondays to Fridays.
