Youth leaders to serve as government officials

A TOTAL of 34 young people are set to serve as youth Zamboanga City Government officials in line with the observance of the Rotary Youth Week from November 12 to 17 this year.

Dr. Justin Paber, Rotary Club of Zamboanga president, said the installation of the young people to government offices is aimed to mold the them as future leaders.

Paber said the selected youth participants are enrolled in Grades 9 and 10 in different schools in Zamboanga City.

Paber said those selected to the program have passed the examination, screening, panel interview, and “they conducted an extemporaneous speech.”

Through the program, he said the participants will have the chance to sit together with the Mayor, Vice Mayor, Councilors, and city government department heads as their counterparts.
