LOPTTA-La Salle head coach and training director Marell Lagunday together with Coach Rev. Hosea Alvarez and player Micah again joined the goodwill table tennis series and tour in Beijing.

Meanwhile, the Loptta raised player Micah Tanate together with the four promising athletes from Tatand - John Russell Misal, Keith Rhyne Cruz, Kaela Deine Aguilar, and Neo Angelo Laudato, and head coach Kenneth Cruz - will remain to undergo intensive training for at least two more weeks and will be exposed to the modern and scientific sports program of the prestigious Zheng Ding National Training Headquarter, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei.

With the support and approval of delegation head Stephen Techico, honorary president of the Federation of the Filipino-Chinese Association, together with the current and former leaders of Tatand, this program was realized.

All five players were winners in the 15th Uni-Orient Cup Tatand Inter-Scholastic Tennis League organized last April by the Table Tennis Association for National Development in the Philippines.

“It is an opportunity for us to join the tournament especially for Micah to train with Zheng Ding trainers and coaches for more improvement on her part,” said Lopue's-La Salle head coach Marell Lagunday.

In addition, the group toured the 2008 Beijing Olympic Park featuring the iconic Bird’s Nest National Stadium as well as the world-famous Great Wall of China, the Summer Palace, Tian'an men Square, Forbidden City, the Temple of heaven, Capital University of Physical Education and Sports, and Beijing University.
