ADRIANA Lima has become synonymous with lingerie brand Victoria’s Secret, being its longest-running model. So when news broke that this year’s fashion show would be her last--the internet was in shock.
The Brazilian supermodel shared the news through an Instagram post with a heartfelt message to the brand and her fans and celebrated this milestone with a Brazilian dinner at Berimbau Brazilian restaurant on Thursday evening, as seen on her Instagram Story.
According to Vogue, the fashion show presented a montage tribute to the VS veteran’s career, which made her tear up as she walked the runway one last time with the crowd giving her a standing ovation.
Meanwhile, the Philippines’ very own Kelsey Merritt makes history, being the first Filipino ever to walk in the show. The stunner shared some snaps of the night on her Instagram account including a photo of her and Adriana stating her admiration of the model, how she’s been an inspiration and that she got to walk on the show with her on Lima’s last day.
The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show which took place on Nov. 8 is scheduled to air on Dec. 2 on ABC. MRL
