CHRISTMAS has officially started at SM City Telebastagan as mall officials and guests led the unveiling of the “Sweet Holiday Christmas Tree” at the mall’s main atrium over the weekend.

The photo-worthy Christmas installation is an ice-cream inspired Christmas tree towering at 20 feet tall.

The unveiling follows the tradition of the mall in starting the Christmas celebration here with a Christmas display of sorts.

"This is the mall's way of giving joy to young people with fanciful interpretations of the Christmas spirit. Our centerpieces appeal not just to the young people but also to those who are young at heart," SM City Public Relations Manager Rain Cervantes told SunStar Pampanga.

The unveiling featured performances from the Sinukwan Dance Troop as well as gift-giving for students of Blossomforth School of Angeles City.

SM started the tradition of the yearly unveiling of Christmas centerpieces in its various malls to usher in the Yuletide season. The centerpieces serve as Yuletide reminders and photo-worthy installations for mall goers and shoppers to take photos with their families and friends.

SM also invited shoppers and mallgoers to be part of the annual Bears of Joy campaign. For every P200, shoppers get two bears, one to keep and the other to gift. All donated bears will go to children in need, along with the personal notes from shoppers.
