DAVAO Tenpin Bowlers Association (Datba) female bowler Ulene Rose Pondoc Rule salvaged the sixth place of the 10th Cetba-NBT Open Tenpin Bowling Championship 2018 Open Masters Finals that closed Sunday at the SM Bowling Center Cebu in Cebu City.

Rule, part of the eight-member Datba contingent from Davao City, struck for a total of 2,025 pinfalls with handicap after 10 games. She, who played with a handicap of 30, received P2,000 along with the other sixth to eighth placers.

Rule's husband Jesrael said, "Close man ang laban from top three to eight. Ang lisod na apason ang top 1 and 2. Dako na sila pondo sa score (It was a close fight for the top three to eight players. But the first and second were way ahead in scores, it was difficult to catch up)."

Alex Ngoi of PBA-Jackson Tours emerged champion after hitting 2,192 pinfalls to pocket P80,000 while Cetba's Joshua Galarse grabbed the runner-up honors by toppling 2,098 pins to take home P40,000. STBAI-55AB's Manny Bueno (2,069), Datbi-Nobleland's Luis Barredo (2,042) and Micmic Miranda (2,039) rounded up the top five to receive P20,000, P10,000 and P5,000.

Cetba's Clyde Lim (2,025) and STBAI-55AB's Nestor Ranido (2,024) finished seventh and eighth, respectively.
