THE Zonta Club of Cebu 1 had the twin celebration of the 100 years of Zonta International and 50 years of Zonta Club of Cebu I, which started with the thanksgiving mass at St.Therese parish; followed by the launch/motorcade of the Centennial stickers. Mediablitz was channeled through GMA 7, 888 Forum, MyTV, tri-media and Facebook live/documentation by the University of San Jose-Recoletos Mass Communications group under Dr. Nestor Ramirez.
The opening salvo of Golden November presented the advocacies addressing child marriage and teenage pregnancy, with integrated projects in education, health, violence against women, livelihood and value formation, all to be part of the Zonta Advocacy Caravan and awareness seminars to be conducted in schools and barangays on the theme “Children, our future!”
