THIS Christmas 2018 after we will have opened and enjoyed our colorfully wrapped gifts, I’m pretty sure like me, you will want to be reminded that we still have gifts that we can claim anytime we need them.
In fact, they are gifts that can last us a lifetime. And there are more and more of them waiting to be claimed from the bank of life, the Bible. But then, we are required to have humble, pure and believing hearts with faith that is the size of a mustard seed at the very least to be able to
*24/7 unlimited cellphone connection to God: “Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking, I will hear” (Isaiah 65:24).
*Strength. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired, weary, stumble and fall but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagle, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:29-31).
*Protection. Because He loves us, says the Lord “I will rescue you. I will protect you for you acknowledge my name. You will call upon Me and I will answer you and I will be with you in trouble. I will deliver you and honor you with long life. I will satisfy you and show you my salvation” (Psalm 91:14-16).
*Courage. Surely God is my salvation. I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord is my strength and my song. He has become my salvation (Isaiah 12:2).
*Wisdom. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God who gives generously to all without finding fault and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt (James 1:5-6)
*Guidance and Counsel. I will instruct you in the way you should go. I will counsel you and watch over you (Psalm 32:8).
*Success. For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). Commit to the Lord whatever you do and your plans will succeed (Proverbs 16:3).
*Healing. He said, “If you listen carefully to the voice of the Lord, your God and do what is right in His eyes; if you pay attention to his commands and keep all His decrees, ‘I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians for I am the Lord who heals you’ “ (Exodus 15:26).
*Justice. Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord (Romans 12:19).
*Peace. Do not be anxious about anything but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:6-7).
*Security in Old Age. Even to your old age and gray hairs, I am He who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you and I will rescue you (Isaiah 46:4)
*We can continue to read on joy, hope, faith, love, freedom, rest, material/spiritual provisions/abundance and so forth.
The Bible acronym stands for Basic Instruction Before Leaving Earth. It is all we need to know to live a victorious life for 2018 Christmas, Year 2019 and beyond.
