IN OBSERVANCE of Pink October, Teleperformance Cebu IT Park joined the rest of its Teleperformance family in efforts to raise awareness on breast cancer by staging a forum at the Piyesta Hall last Oct. 31.
The forum featured Vicente Memorial Medical Center’s Dr. Maita Mojado, who shared the basic knowledge on breast cancer that every woman should know. Her talk touched on various concerns pertaining to myths and fallacies on how breast lumps are formed, emphasizing that there is no primary prevention to breast cancer and the best strategy is still early detection.
Mojado also shared about ongoing campaigns of non-governmental organizations in Cebu, such as fund-raising activities to support women with breast cancer, as well as community-based screening programs.
The attendees deeply appreciated the forum and expressed their wish to have more similar activities on health and wellness in the future.
