DANAO City will host 9,000 athletes as the Central Visayas Regional Athletic Association opens today at the Ramon M. Durano Memorial Sports Complex.
“We are hoping to select the best in the region, who will help us in our quest to win the overall title in the Palarong Pambansa. And I hope we can achieve our goal,” said Department of Education Regional Director Dr. Recaredo Borgonia.
The Danao City Government, on the other hand, has prepared a grand opening ceremony and has allotted almost P4 million for the staging of this event.
“We are working hard just to bring back the prestige and importance of the Cviraa. That is why I asked Mayor Nito (Ramonito Durano III) that we host another meet before our terms in office will expire,” said Councilor OscarRodriguez.
