2 drug surrenderers, 3 others nabbed for ‘shabu’

FIVE persons, including two drug surrenderers, were arrested in separate operations for sale and possession of dangerous drugs in Negros Occidental from November 10 to 13.

In Bacolod City, Christopher Galo, 32, from Barangay Tangub, a newly-identified drug personality, was collared in a drug bust in the said village on November 13.

Galo allegedly sold a shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) to a police agent for P500. Also arrested was Prencita Canlas, 64, of the said barangay.

Police seized from them six sachets of suspected shabu worth P60,000, the P500 marked money, P420 in cash, an improvised tooter, a pair of scissors, and lighter.

Both are detained at Police Station 8.

In La Carlota City, Alvin Albino, 30,a make-up artist, from Barangay Batu-an, a drug surrenderer, and a high-value target was arrested in a drug bust at Barangay 3 on November 12, that resulted to a recovery of five sachets of suspected shabu worth P2,000, the P300 marked money, compact powder, and two blades.

In Manapla town, Alex Sunga, 42, a fish vendor, from Barangay 2, also a drug surrenderer was arrested at the public market in the said village on November 12, for alleged violation of the Republic Act 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004.

However, police were able to confiscate from him a sachet of suspected shabu amounting to P1,000.

In Ilog town, Elmer Denila, 28, of Barangay Andulauan was arrested in a drug bust on November 10 after police seized from him three sachets of suspected shabu, and the P200 marked money.(GYM)
