THE Rotary Club of San Fernando (RCSF) on Wednesday, November 14, turned over its donations to Pampanga High School (PHS).

The group said the gesture was part of its effort to promote quality education and a conducive learning environment in the community.

Aside from toilet blocks with handwashing and rain catchment facilities, the group has also renovated one of the school’s comfort rooms.

RCSF past president Fer Caylao noted that “the Rotary has always been about serving humanity and education is one of our most important priorities.”

“We have adopted this institution as one of our ways of extending aid to young Kapampangans,” he said.

He added that the initiative was realized through the contribution and support of active Rotarian Tony Koh, as well as Rotary Districts 3790, 3750, and 3720.

PHS Principal Fe Rosalinda Caylao then expressed gratitude to RCSF for the valuable donation.

“These facilities will go a long way in improving the overall academic performance of our pupils here in Pampanga High School. We have always been thankful to our public and private partners for their significant and relevant support that helps uplift the standard of education we are providing to our over 12,000 junior and senior high school students,” she noted.

Moreover, aside from PHS, RCSF vowed to help young learners from Masantol through commissioning classrooms for the benefit of elementary students from the coastal town.

“We have already completed three classrooms and another one is underway. These new projects are part of our commitment to donate a total of 10 classrooms in Masantol by 2019,” Caylao said.
