CTU forges links with Polish school

THE European Union, through the Erasmus Programme +, formed a link with the Cebu Technological University (CTU).

CTU signed a memorandum of agreement with the University of Logistics and Transport (IULT) in Wroclaw, Poland during the inauguration of Academic Year 2018-2019 of the IULT last Oct. 6.

The signing was at the IULT in Wroclaw, Poland.

Representing IULT were university president Janus Paweska and university rector Marcin Paweska.

CTU was represented by Dr. Victor D. Villaganas, vice president for academic affairs, signing on behalf of university president Rosein A. Ancheta Jr.

The Erasmus + is the European Union program, which supports projects, partnership events and mobility in the areas of education, training, youth and sports. The program runs from 2014 to 2020. It provides funding opportunities for cooperation in all areas between European countries and the Philippines.

The various opportunities under the Erasmus Programme + are student-credit mobility and staff mobility, Erasmus Mundus joint program, capacity-building projects in the field of higher education and Jean Monnet activities.

Villaganas is the first grantee of the Erasmus Programme + between IULT and CTU.

He lectured students of IULT and Erasmus scholars on Quality Management System in Wroclaw, Poland last Oct. 8.
