Tricycle driver gunned down in Lapu-Lapu City

A 35-YEAR-OLD man was shot dead by unidentified riding-in-tandem assailants past 4 p.m. Thursday, November 15, in Barangay Basak, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.

The fatality was identified as Alex Ampaso, a tricycle driver.

Police eyed personal grudge as the motive behind the attack.

Investigation showed the victim had ferried passengers before the incident happened.

While driving his tricycle, Ampaso failed to notice the culprits were tailing him.

The back rider pulled-out a gun and shot Ampaso multiple times, hitting him in different parts of his body.

Recovered from the scene were seven empty shells of .45 pistol and three deformed slugs.(KAL)
